My 4 eyes cutie :)

I am blessed to never have to deal with dry contacts, getting stuff in your eyes and constantly remembering to take them out every night. do not know how Jonny does it, I guess its just one of those things you get use to after a while. With me growing up if I needed eye drops my mom and sibling would have to find me, chase me, pin me down, and then try there hardest to put any of the eye drops actually into my eye !!!  Jonny puts his finger close to my eyes and I cant help but backing up.
Well to help him out to not worry about all those contact problems we got him a new pair of glasses, they look great on him. We looked and looked and went to many different stores putting away some that we want to come back and look at later. I would pick one off the shelf and he would try it on and say NO or YES.. Well the glasses he ended up really liking are glasses he said NO to but made him put them into his maybe pile. Later he said, " Oh I like these where did they come from!" I just had to laugh.... I guess he just needed a mans opinion on how they looked :).  After much searching we found them got his eyes checked and soon after received the glasses. I think he looks very handsome with his new glasses on .. Even though he does look very handsome with them on, I think we still both agree that one day our children get my EYES.. Jonny is seriously blind as a bat !!! When its time for bed and Jonny has already taken out his eyes or ( contacts), I know that if I ask him to look at something its pointless.. :P but now he can just quickly whip those glasses back on and HE CAN SEE, its magic really.

Together Forever & Always

Our Love story all started Out at BYU-I when Jonny surprised me with coming up and seeing me during my last semester. I had just finished climbing The Grand Teton and was exhausted, but when I got home that night around 2 a.m Jonny was sitting on my floor. I was soo happy to see him there and knew that he would always be there for me no matter what.

Above is the field below the temple where Jonny asked me to be his wife, also where he asked me to be his girl friend in the very beginning:) A year ago today I thought I was the Happiest and luckiest girl alive, NOW I know that for sure with our everlasting love. When we got engaged I felt like my prayers were answered and I knew that we would bless each other forever. Jonny started blessing my life the moment I met him, he always took the ordinary moments and made them shine.<3
I decided to go back and take a picture where he POPPED the question, because you never know what will happen to that place. My mom and dad got engaged on a hillside, now a parking structure... Times change, but memories last forever!!!
When I look at my ring I could not love it any MORE than what I do, its perfect and I am so blessed to have a husband that knew what I wanted and got me such a beautiful ring also my dream ring. I know its not about the ring, its about the marriage. My ring is just a constant reminder of how much he loves me and how we will always be together. I am so grateful for Jonny Miles Holden, what a great man, best friend, and husband he has turned out to be.

I don't ever want to find out how life is without Jonny again <3

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!!!!

I heard a quote a few days ago that says, "Friends are chocolate chips in the cookie life." I say AMEN to that :) I decided to have a girls night filled with dinner, games, spa manicures, pedicures, face masks, and of course desserts and a Chick flick ! Jonny was on a boy scout camping trip so I thought why not :)... It turned out to be a BLAST, my friends Hidie, Emily, and Jenna all came and I love how all of us just got to know each other a little more.
We tried some new spa ideas with a place called LUSH, it was pretty good it made my face feel really soft ...  First we did our nails and toes and just talked and then we steamed our faces with some hot water and some  tea tree oil product from LUSH for 10 min. ( It worked  like a charm, but I thought I was going to die with the hot steam in my face !!!) We were all laughing so hard and just talking with all of our heads in our bowls :) after we put face masks on and waited for the magic to happen.
I love how we have such great couples in our ward, with such awesome girls, its such a blessing to be making and having friends like them. We had a great night and of course it would not be complete without ICE CREAM... we made big sundays and they were delicious !!!

For our chick flick we decided to watch Safe Heaven, It was soooooooo good.By the end all of us were wanting our wonderful husbands and were all so thankful for them :). It was such a sweet movie, if your a girl and you have not seen it go watch it right now. ( its on netflix)
I am so grateful to have such wounder people in my life and they are each a blessing to me. I cant wait for our next girls night !!!

Last days of Summer !

Since the Fall is coming our way, we decided to spend a little time outside in George Bush park long-boarding with our friends Heidie and Garret Porter. Turns out we all know how to and enjoy boarding. We went around 6 pm and the park was beautiful with water on ether side of the trials. ( made you really scared to fall, because you would fall into the water.) BUT I am proud to say I did not fall once :) I think i'm just a natural at it.

( The pic below just looks like we are standing on the boards, but we are actually going really fast. its hard to tell form a picture. I am in the blue)

I learned out at BYU-I from one of my FHE brothers, then 2 semesters later Jonny and I went long-boarding together as a date. Since then Jonny and I have not gone, until now. We decided that we need to get me a board, but they are crazy expensive!!! Sooooo that will have to wait, as for now our friends have extra boards and we can use those :)

I even tried to go with two, but I was just to scared that I would fall and get all scared up. I mean battle scars are great and all but still not fun! The sunset was such a pretty one, while ridding along the trail and seeing it reflect off the water. I cant wait to go again and just enjoy out outside and spending time with my best friend and new friends :)

Hungry for the HUNGER GAMES!!!!

Ever since Jonny saw the movie the Hunger Games he has mentioned that he really likes it, I mean come on if you don't like it something is wrong.... sooo with the new movie coming out in November we decided to listen the the 1st and 2nd books on tape so Jonny and I will know a little of what to expect. I have read the first book and half the second, but had to stop for school.
we are listening to the first one and Jonny really likes it, he likes how its different from the movie and has a lot more detail. I just am excited to get the the 2nd book!!!! :) Mom you will be very proud to know that I have my own library card, ( I think now I am an official adult :) ) but we rented them from the library as E-books and we can listen to them on my phone.. Its great doesn't cost anything and we can do it with however many books you want. The best part is you don't even have to go to the library to get the book you want. Its crazy how technology these days, of what it can do...

Gotta Love Maxi Skirts :)

My good friend Heidi and I decided to make maxie skirts off of  pinterest, and they turned out great !!! We made two skirts each and wanted to make a 100 more by the time we saw how they turned out. We went to Hobby Lobby and only bought a Yard and a half of fabric and that was all we needed.. :)
This was one of the skirts that I made and it turned out great. Here is how we made it.
I am 5'9 so mine is a little taller than some but this is what we did.
my measurements:
-length: 48'
-Then you measure around your wast and divide it by 2.
- Find the middle of the top of the fabric and measure out that number.
- then measure 6' down to allow you to fold it down and stay in place.
- from there tapper down, ( like a triangle) till you get to the ends of the fabric.
- Pin and cut it on both sides.
- then sew both sides following the tapered edges down.
- YOUR DONE, Its That easy.
This is what the skirt looked like after I cut it and ready to sew it. It turned out great and so EASY.

Im glad I have made good friends that enjoy doing crafts and making things as much as I do:). In the future I will diffidently be making a lot more of these :)..

Day out in Houston.

This week in Houston is a hot one for sure, it seems even when it rains it gets hotter. Its been around 100+ for the past few weeks, hopefully it will cool down. I can not wait for fall, even though its really short here in Texas.

In uptown Houston there is a place called the museum district, with tons of different kinds of museums all around. We have gone to a few like the health science museum, and Art but this time we decided to go to the Holocaust museum. I didn't know that Holocaust museums are all free and based on donations. It was really cool the one in Houston is molded after the one in Washington D.C. We watched some videos of the survivors and all there stories. Its amazing how so many people all had so many different experiences. We took the tour that ended up lasting 3 hrs long, it was great and we learned a whole lot, but the end we were exhausted. Going to the museum was great and an experience for sure, when we got home we decided to treat ourselves to Cheesecake Factory.
I have never eaten there before, it was pretty good. Although we had made and had a lot of cookies that day sooo we skipped out on the cheesecake for the day..:) It was a great end to a great day, I love spending time with my wonderful husband. I am glad that there are things like this in Houston for us to go and do. We are still exploring Texas, its so big It just might take us a lot longer than we thought...
