Good Ol' Country Music

BRAD PAISLEY       CHRIS YOUNG          LEE BRICE

This weekend we went and saw these guys in concert!!!!. IT WAS AWESOME, SOOOOOO GREAT, I just don't know how this concert could have gotten any better. I was with the love of my life, listening to my 3 favorite country singers. We got there and we had bought a groupon so we had to wait in line to get our tickets, and it was so sweltering hot with no breeze everyone was drenched. We got through the gates and we went and sat on the open lawn. Lee Brice came on first, he was really good although a lot of his songs he chose to sing about were about beer... ( BUT still great singer) Chris Young came out next all of these guys I was so impressed, it really sounds just like your listening to a CD. ( They actually are GREAT singers, no auto-tune !)

We were enjoying it laying on the lawn with my cowboy boots on and listening to country love songs. Then Brad Paisley came out and we moved up to the very front and center of the lawn, as close as we could get without getting in trouble. He came out and played and played and played hes a machine he never stopped, in fact it was getting to be past 12 with Jonny working the next day we left early. Even though we left early we listened to Brad playing on and on as we drove away.

We were so impressed with all the performers but Brad Paisley won the vote, he is awesome. He even signed a guitar and gave it to some young boy, NOT a screaming annoying drunk chick!.....( I thought that was really cool of him to do) One of the unexpected cool things he did was he ran off stage, through the crowd to about 25 feet right in front of us saying, " When I use to go to concerts i would always sit right about here, on the lawn ."  He is the middle of the 3 in the picture to the left.
I also thought it was cool that Lee Brice and Chris Young came out and they sang all together.  IT WAS AWESOME :) :) :) :) :)

Jonny was so sweet to get these tickets for us to go, he was surprised  that I knew and could sing almost every song they played. ( Guess he picked the right Concert ) It was im going to say the best concert iv been to, and we were so close to the action. I love my sweetheart so much that he loves me enough so sit with me and just listen to the music I love most!!!.

This is a little clip that I took when he was close to us, I wish I would have kept recording, but I wanted to just enjoy it.

Brad Paisley was right when he said, " Country music is better played outside." what an amazing night.

Houston We Have Lift Off

This past week Jonny and I went to the Houston NASA Space Center. It was really cool to see the huge models and also real donated ones from NASA as well. There was so many things in this Center that I could have taken 100 pictures, but I narrowed it down.
FUN Fact #1: The size of the International Space Station is a little bigger than a full football field.
I thought it was funny in a corner of this Center was a huge lego building station for kids, where they can build there own spaceship. Well Jonny really wanted to go and play in it and make a Lego angle.

There was a ton of old and newer equipment that NASA is lending to the Space Center, it was really cool to see what they ate, how everything worked. We saw countless numbers of movies of a astronauts everyday life.

We both decided that we would rather stay here on earth. The only cool thing about space is the view and that you can float...
Above in this orange astronauts spacesuit I tried to make Jonny's head in the middle so he was wearing it. To me the suits look like big dippers and are very uncomfortable with 5 layers of weight.
I thought this was cool from the left to right is the evolution of a space suit. Even though I would not want to wear one of these, I think I would stick with the biggest, bulkiest one if I was going to go into space. I would want more than one or two layers like the first one. Its crazy that they changed so much over the years. The one on the right is one that they use today, and is actually still being used. There are two things with this getup that would drive me crazy, 1: I would have to use a dipper and 2: My face would be in a glass bowl and if my face itched, well that's too bad!!!!

The picture below is another reason why I think we would choose to stay on earth, we both agreed on if we went to space we would miss FOOD!!! This would be a typical meal is space if you cant read it, the bags say, ( Potatoes AU Gratin, Grapefruit drink from recycled urine, liquid salt and peeper bottles, and something in a can that is dried.) I don't know about you, but if I ate this it would lead me right into the next picture.... that's right the bathroom.... you would sit on it, and thin push a button that creates some kind of gravity in the tank and you have little handle bars you put over your legs so you don't float away... EWWW its worse then using an airplane bathroom *10.

While Jonny and I were walking around we came across this photo right here, yeah its just a guy in space but I did not know that they used DUCK TAPE in space... Apparently it can fix anything.  In fact when we were looking at other pictures we saw a roll of duck tape in a few.

the bottom picture is of the engine of a space shuttle and the left is what it would look like inside the control panel. The picture makes it look small and not as confusing, but both of these were huge and very overwhelming especially in the cockpit. The only question Jonny asked was, where is the eject button.???

This was a really cool part of the trip, I have tuched the moon before in Washington D.C, but in Houston I learned so much more.
FUN Fact #2: Houston has the larges moon rock and moon dust collection in the world. We saw bags and selves of rocks and dust it was crazy.
Fun Fact # 3: One cubic meter of lunar soil contains enough of the right elements ( Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen , ect.) to make a cheeseburger a order of fired and a soda.
FUN Fact #4: The moon rock we touched was 3,800,000,000 years old.

By this time there were so many facts and space stuff in my head I could not take any more. We went to the store and bought some Space- cream ( space Ice cream) Jonny didn't like it, and even though it had dehydrated chocolate chips in it, it didn't make the cut with me ether. Its so fun going on adventures with my Handsome Husband we even got NASA shirts :) Jonny makes every adventure a fun one and a great memory.

.....Blooooop... Flush... NOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Today the imaginable happened, I never thought it would happen to me but they day had come. I went to the bathroom, because I had like 10 glasses of water and when I turned around to flush and it happened. MY IPHONE FELL INTO THE TOILET................. I yelled NOOOOOOO, and for some reason I still flushed it, I don't think I have ever reached my hand into a toilet that quickly with out thinking about it..! I got it out while saying no, no, no, no, no, no, about a thousand times, and luckily it was still on.I took off the case ( Otter Box) that Jonny bought for me, dried it off and it worked fine. I swear it still works because of its case, even though its not water proof it gave me that extra 5 sec. window. I have cleaned everything, and my phone is is a bag of rice, just in case... I don't ever want my phone to be flushed away again. I have learned my lesson to not even take my phone into the bathroom anyway!!!

Never agian will I test my luck, with pearing these two up...

Living Room Campout :)

With our tent being stolen, we went out and bought a newer, bigger, and better one. With a lock to lock the door zipper... Jonny said that the people who took our tent did him a favor, it was old and really hard to set up, so jokes on them.... We even bought a really cool sleeping bag, zipper sheets that you can put on your air mattress and it makes a little pocket! We both got home and where so excited to try out our new tent we decided to have a camp-out in our living room. We set the tent up and the air bed and its awesome!!!!

We faced it to the TV so we could watch a movie, and eat fresh juicy watermelon. Even though it was inside, I think ill like camping in our new tent. Granted when I needed to go to the bathroom I got out and I had one, not the woods. Hopefully this week we will have to put it to the test and go on an adventure who knows what we will end up doing. :)

We were all snuggled in and ready to go to bed, all we had to do was turn the lights off :). I love how Jonny and I do fun crazy things like this. The more and more time that goes by the more and more I know that Jonny and I were meant for each other. We sure are two peas in a pod !!

Weakness Turned into Strength

The time has come where I have received my final grade for my Math class that I was taking. I went into the class dreading, having to even take it in the first place. ( because lets face it, I am not friends with math, nor people who try to teach me math) Even though I was hesitant about it I took it and I hit the ground running, all semester I was the only one with an A in the class. I don't like to toot my own horn or not, but when has that EVER happened !!!!! :) At the end of the class my teacher ( who was a great teacher) said, " In my class its really hard to get an A, but if you have one you deserved it." So with all my hard work and to all those family members and loved ones who tried to teach me MATH, THIS WAS FOR YOU !!!!

Jonny was one of those loved ones who tried to teach me, but he loved me enough and was proud of me that he took me out to our favorite place to eat. :) I had the best most delicious steak I have had in a while. I love and am so happy that my husband is proud of me and encourages me to do my best in all things. I knew that he was always there to support me no matter what. I think I also have to give a shout out to my DAD.. he had to deal with the rough of it, so thanks dad for never giving up and still loving me after all those very hard times we sat through at the kitchen table. :) I hope I made y'all proud

Good Bye Old Friend...

As we all know we have been trying to sell our truck ( Jonny's other baby ). After re-posting it today we got a few calls on people wanting to come and see it. We are very happy, and sad to say that we have sold our Adventure Truck. We sold it to parents who are surprising there daughter with it on her birthday!!! ( what a birthday present)
Even though we will miss it, we know that it will save us a lot of money in the long run and there is no reason for us to have 3 cars when there is only 2 of us.

It was sad for me because in a way this truck brought Jonny and I together. From our first meeting, to our official one we have gone on many, many adventures. From fishing, getting it stuck together, drive in movies, camping, its been there for us. Even though we got rid of a truck this time, our next truck will be even better.

A Short Visit

This week has been a good one, Jonny and I were excited for my fried Gillian and her husband Bryson to come down from Dallas and stay with us for a day. They are having a fun trip around to all the cites of Texas!! They got here and it was my first time meeting Bryson, he was really cool and they are sooo cute together. We went out to dinner to RED ROBIN (Yummmm) for dinner and we talked and had a lot of fun showing them the area. Its a little hotter and humid here than any other city in Texas, so it takes some getting use to. After dinner we came home and we were talking and the men fell asleep on the couch and on the floor. I really enjoyed just being able to talk to and visit with one of my really good friends. After many topics and much talked about the boys slowly started waking up with a little help. We picked a movie, made popcorn and then watched a movie together. It was a lot of fun to to have friends in the Houston area, I feel like there are not to many newly wed couples around ( so that was nice). In the morning we woke up and had a awesome breakfast , CHOCOLATE CHIP pancakes and eggs, talked a little more then they were off to more adventures. They where so fun to have over and I hope they come back and visit again soon:)

Here is a picture of the boys while the girls were talking... they were both so tired :P

Also I thought it was really sweet and thoughtful that as a thank you, they gave us some very yummy chocolate and a really cute cookie cutter and plate. I am so excited to use the cookie cutter, gives me an excuse to make cookies :) !!

A Trip Cut Short :(

This week was a very, very long, fun, stressful, and a hard week... It was 4th of July week so Jonny and I took it off and drove to Austin Texas, singing patriotic songs the whole way there we finally pulled up to our campsite in Krause Springs. We decided to go camping all week in our tent and enjoy all the amazing  fresh water springs and pools they have to offer. We set up our tent and got all settled in and went swimming, there was a beautiful waterfall and flowing water everywhere. That night we went out to the field to watch the best Firework show around, it lasted 30 minutes and was the best one I have ever seen. It felt like the whole time was going to be ending because it was so good, I was ready with my camera the whole time. It was really cool because we were so close that the fireworks were actually going off right above our heads. They where also so loud... we felt like someone was shooting a gun right next to our ears, but don't worry dad I was plugging my ears. Here is the BIG BAG of a finish, it was 6 min. long but if ya want just skip to the end, or entertain your kids for 6 min. :)

AND THE FIREWORKS...

We sat there on our blanket and ate fresh watermelon and enjoyed every minute of it. Then it ALL started, as we were walking back to our campsite, I tripped on some rocks and twisted my bad ankle really bad. Luckily we where not to far away from our campsite, so Jonny helped me hop over to it. He was so sweet he got some ice for me, built a fire and then we roasted brats and s'mors over our fire. The next morning we woke up my ankle was killing me, so again we hopped over to the cold spring water in the morning and soaked it in the cold water while we enjoyed breakfast. It was a beautiful campground with wind chimes and running water all around you, with tall oaks and founts everywhere. Even though I was hurting I was not going to let it mess up our plans.

We got into the car with our swimming suits, our rafts and sunscreen, but the first stop we needed to make was to get a ankle brace. We went to a place called Barton Springs , where there is a Huge natural pool that is spring is feed.its really cool because it is in the middle of Austin. It was beautiful the water was crystal clear and we could see all the colors of the rocks at the bottom and all the green seaweed plants home to many animals. We where swimming with school of fish, turtles and even Giant salamanders. We floated around for a while, then we took our goggles and went exploring.  We felt like we were little kids again diving and spending all day in the sun!
We had such a great day out in the sun, but it got time for us to drive back to our campsite before they closed the gates. We made it back to camp just in time, ready to crash and get everything ready for our Capital tour the next day. We drove up to where our campsite, SHOULD OF BEEN!!... Someone had stolen not only our tent, bags, cloths, air mattress, shoes, Jonnys wallet, phone, but also our firewood... Everything was gone :( Hundreds of dollars gone just like that, we were so shocked that everything was gone and that someone would DO THAT!!... I have to admit I was crying like a baby, and Jonny was there to comfort me by that point we were wet and had our car... I asked Jonny if we could just go home, I didn't want to stay. Jonny being the most amazing husband ever drove all the way back home and we got home at around 4 a.m. Even though we had everything stolen from us, we where glad that we had the most important thing.. each other. It sucks, but at the same time in a strange way it brought Jonny and I a little more closer together :) and that's more important to me than anything. So our trip was cut very short, we where not able to go to the Capital and our Zip line adventure, but we were able to get a refund on them. I guess our next adventure is already planed.

BLUE- BELL Factory Goodness!

Jonny and I have recently discovered that the Ice cream Blue-Bell is really, really popular thing down here in Texas. Everyone has been telling us that we need to go to the factory where it all started, and see how they make it as well as taste test all the flavors. when they said taste testing I was in, who doesn't love Ice cream. The factory was about an hr away, and once we got there we got right in with the new tour. They didn't allow any cameras while on the tour, because the workers don't want their pictures taken everyday. It was really cool though, the most fun fact I learned is that it takes 60,000 cows a day to make Ice cream and that the company is named after the mans favorite flower the Blue Bell. The tour lasted about 30 minutes and we saw them make all kinds of different flavors, its amazing to me that they had so many people working there and how proud they were to be working there. I was a little jealous when the lady said, "Here at the factory we eat all the Ice cream we can, then we sell the rest!" I even saw that they made a PICKLE Ice cream when I asked about it, the lady didn't say much... guess it didn't catch on... At the end of the tour we tasted 20 or so flavors with a cup of our choice and we where full of it. We had our Ice cream lunch and then walked around the grounds of the factory, there was beautiful flowers and statues everywhere. It was a really fun, easy going trip and we even got full on ICE  CREAM :) .
